OUR STORY

Our Story

We love camping and good food. Over the years we have consumed countless gallons of coffee while enjoying crisp fall mornings around the campfire and overnight
cooks on the charcoal smoker. Then one morning while staring into the coals waiting for the percolator to brew and idea began to take hold; “why not combine these ideas to create something new.”

 

As it turns out this is an idea that is as old as roasting coffee itself. In a world of commercial coffee built around computers and automated roasting profiles we invite you to join us in rediscovering the way coffee was meant to be enjoyed.

Why Charcoal?

Simple: Because science! Seriously, look it up, could 700 years of roasting history be wrong?!

 

But really, charcoal involves both infrared and far infrared rays in the
roasting process which allows the beans to roast from the inside out resulting in a smoother more well-rounded roast.

 

At Kettle Koffee we use modern methods of air and
temperature control mixed with the time-honored tradition of charcoal roasting to create a unique well-rounded roast.
